How much does an LED neon sign cost in electricity?

LED is one of the most energy-efficient lights you can get, and LED uses e.g. 4-5 times less power than halogen, and even less than classic glass neon, which is often the alternative to LED neon signs. LED neon signs use 12v, so an adapter is always used.

The power consumption depends of course on the size of the sign, but for an average LED neon sign of one meter in width, the consumption is about 80 watts per hour. Converted to kronor and öre, we are talking about 40 öre per hour at today's prices (22/6/9).

The amount varies, of course, depending on the size of the LED neon sign and the development of electricity prices. On the Swedish Energy Agency's website, you can calculate your consumption yourself and get good advice on your lighting: https://sparenergi.dk/forbruger/el/belysning
